First team Clydesdale Ride of the season
By mike | May 3, 2008
This was our first “Team Clydesdale” training ride for the 2007 bike season and we did a variety of distances. Those who met us in the parking lot of the Rochester Library did about 18 miles.
I started from my home and logged 32 miles. Others picked us up along different parts of the Paint Creek Trail and did from 20 to 26 miles.
Here’s a short video on today’s ride:
Our next Team Clydesdale ride will be May 17. Again, we’ll meet at 8:30 am in the parking lot of the Rochester Library. This time we’ll head west on the Clinton River Trail.

Hey Mike,
That was a great ride today. I got to 32 mile on the trail and there were signs posted that the rest was still under construction. So I ended up with 25.5 miles and didn’t hit rain until I got on the River Walk trail. The other rides we talked about are:
1) MGST(Metro Grand Spring Tour) at Willow Metro Park tomorrow (May 4th)
2)Clarkston Back 40 Challenge in Clarkston on May 11th(Mother’s Day). This is a dirt road ride through the back roads of Clarkston.
3) FAHRRAD tour in Frankenmuth on May 18th. This is a road ride through Frankenmuth and the surrounding areas(25k, 50k and 100k routes are avaliable.
There is a registration fee for the above rides(you can pre-register or register on the day of event in most cases)
These rides and more are posted on the League of Michigan Bicyclists website…

Great idea. I’ll be there on the 17th. How far will you be going? I need about 25 or so. Assume you’ll do that as that seems what you did with the first one.
