Cleaning disc brakes on a bike

By mike | May 15, 2007

Remember that squeal I showed you with the disc brakes on my Cannondale 29 Caffeine MTB the other day? Took the bike into my friendly lbs - Paint Creek Bicycles in Lake Orion - where my buddy Todd gave us a demonstration on how to clean the brakes. The result? The squeal is gone. Check the video.

That was very interesting… wondered what disc brakes were like on a bike.
A lot of people are raving about them. Looks like they are easier to clean and easier to keep adjusted.
Just love your videos Mike. I live in West Virginia so if you ever come down this way, post some advance notice here and we’ll get you some good down home ridin’
