Hilton Head biking

By mike | June 5, 2007

Beach cruisers - fixed gear and the old-fashioned back peddle brakes - are what they use down here on the long, flat and hard-packed Atlantic Ocean beach. Tried the so-called “bike paths” they advertise off the beach. They are just narrow, overcrowded sideways broken up by parking lots and driveways.

I may be able to overlook all that, though. The beach riding is pretty nice. Can’t wait to try at low tide and first thing in the morning. For now, here’s a quick look at what we found on day one.
