Algonquin trails from Sault Ste Marie, MI

By mike | May 24, 2007

I’m in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan saying ya to da UP in a big way. Rode west from the historic Ojibway Hotel downtown across from the famous Soo Locks in downtown Sault Ste. Marie to a cross country ski area known as the Algonquin. There are a series of deep woods trails that, except for the swarming mosquitos that attacked every time I slowed down, make for great riding.

My balky computer is DOA. Rode an hour and 15 minutes. Figured that’s at least 15 miles. Now I’m going to go find a pasty for lunch.
